Statute: Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act dated June 2, 2022, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Paula Minnikin of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member and designate her as President of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, for a term of two (2) years commencing July 29, 2022; (

b) appoint Seneca Classen-Pottie of D'Escousse, Richmond County, and Sarah MacDonald of Saint Joseph, Antigonish County, as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women, both for a term of two (2) years commencing July 29, 2022; and (

c) order that Paula Minnikin be remunerated for her service in the amount of $150.00 per day and that Seneca Classen-Pottie and Sarah MacDonald each be remunerated for their services in the amount of $100.00 per day, and that Paula Minnikin, Seneca Classen-Pottie, and Sarah MacDonald shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred in fulfilling their duties as members provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service.
