EXPLANATORY NOTE NOTE EXPLICATIVE Under this Bill, two or more existing or proposed livestock operations will be treated as a single operation if they have the same owner or related owners and a re located within 800 metres of each other. section 1: 2 Il est ajo uté, après l'article 1, ce qui suit : Related nearby livestock operations deemed to be one operation 1.1 For the purposes of this Act, if two or more existing or proposed livestock operations involving the same category of livestock are (

a) located within 800 metres of one another; and Exploitation unique 1.1 Pour l'application de la présente loi, les exploitations de bétail existantes ou proposées qui produisent la même catégorie de bétail sont réputée s constituer une seule exploitation si elles réponden t aux critères indiqués ci-dessous, le nombre de leurs un ités animales étant cumulatif :

i) the same individual, corporation, partnership or other entity, or (ii) individuals, corporations, partnerships or other entities that are interrelated to the degree prescribed by regulation; they are deemed to be a single livestock operation, and the number of existing or proposed animal units in each operation must be added together.
