OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated August 14, 2012, and pursuant to
Section 84 of
Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,
Section 20 of
Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act,
Section 10 of
Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective August 16, 2012: (
a) revoke the appointment of Christopher Daly as Acting Associate Deputy Minister of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism made by Order in Council 2011-373, dated October 18, 2011; (
b) appoint Christopher Daly as Associate Deputy Minister of Economic and Rural Development and Tourism; (
c) designate Christopher Daly as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act in his performance of the duties of the deputy as have been or may be delegated to him pursuant to
Section 84 of the Public Service Act; (
d) fix and determine the salary of Christopher Daly to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier; (
e) direct that Christopher Daly shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (
f) designate Christopher Daly to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
