1990 BILL Second Session, 22nd Legislature, 39 Elizabeth II THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ALBERTA BILL DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND UTILITIES AMENDMENT ACT, 1990 THE MINISTER OF TRANSPORTATION AND UTILITIES First Reading Second Reading Committee of the Whole Third Reading Royal Assent Title: 1990 (22nd 2nd) Bill 2, Department of Transportation and Utilities Amendment Act, 1990 Bill BILL DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND UTILITIES AMENDMENT ACT, 1990 (Assented to , 1990) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1 The Department of Transportation and Utilities Act is amended by this Act. 2 Section 13(3) and (4) are repealed. 1 Explanatory Notes This Bill will amend

chapter D-30 of the Revised Statutes of Alberta 1980. 2

Section presently reads: 13(1) On or before June in each year the Minister shall (

a) cause to be prepared a balance sheet and statement of operations of the revolving fund for the immediately preceding fiscal year, and (

b) submit the financial statements to the Auditor General.

(2) The audited financial statements shall be included in the public accounts for the year.

(3) The Lieutenant Governor in Council by order may transfer to the General Revenue Fund a profit arising from the operations for the year as shown by the audited financial statements.

(4) If a deficit has occurred the amount of the deficit may be deducted from the profit of any succeeding fiscal year or years before the profit is transferred to the General Revenue Fund. 1 Explanatory Notes Title: 1990 (22nd 2nd) Bill 2, Department of Transportation and Utilities Amendment Act, 1990
