OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources dated January 20, 2025, and pursuant to clauses 7(

a) and 16(1)(

a) of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act , is pleased to approve the Minister of Natural Resources to: (

a) further amend

Schedule “A” to Order in Council 2018-289 dated November 6, 2018, as amended by Order in Council 2023-41, by extending the dates by which Melford International Terminal Incorporated and its approved successors or assigns, must start or complete milestones associated with the construction and operation of a deep-water terminal and logistics park at Melford, Guysborough County, as outlined in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (

b) amend the expiry date of the Option Agreement giving Melford International Terminal Incorporated the right to exercise an option to acquire the Crown lands shown on

Schedule “B” attached to a forming part of the Report and Recommendation, from December 31, 2032, to December 31, 2034; and (

c) execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
