OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education dated March 30, 2015, and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers’ Compensation Act , is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of John Hugh MacArthur of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (New Waterford), as a worker representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, effective April 29, 2015; (

b) appoint Jeff Brett of Bridgewater, Lunenburg County, as a worker representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, for a term of 4 years commencing April 29, 2015; (

c) re-appoint Betty Jean Sutherland of Westville, Pictou County, as a worker representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, for a term of 4 years commencing April 29, 2015; (

d) appoint Duncan Williams of Halifax Regional Municipality (Upper Tantallon), as an employer representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, for a term of 4 years commencing April 29, 2015; and (

e) order that Jeff Brett, Betty Jean Sutherland and Duncan Williams: (

i) be remunerated for their services as members of the Board of Directors of the Workers’ Compensation Board of Nova Scotia in the amount of $300 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred by them in fulfilling their duties as members, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; and (ii) each receive an annual honorarium of $2000 for chairing board committees, to be paid on a pro rata basis.
