OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education dated February 24, 2011, and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of
Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Betty Jean Sutherland as an employee representative of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia for a term of office of four (4) years commencing April 5, 2011; (
b) appoint James E. Melvin as an employer representative of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia for a term of office of four (4) years commencing April 5, 2011; (
c) fix the remuneration for these appointments at $300 per day for attendance at meetings of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, attendance at committee meetings and meeting preparation days in addition to reimbursement for reasonable and necessary travelling and other expenses incurred in connection with the work of the Board; and (
d) in addition to the above-noted remuneration, if either member chairs a committee of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board of Nova Scotia, the member shall receive an annual honorarium of $2000 for each committee they chair.
