Commencement

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

Minister of Finance

1 For the purposes of sections 5 (1) and 6 (1) of the Balanced Budget and Ministerial Accountability Act in relation to the Minister of Finance for the 2005-2006 fiscal year, the estimated amount under

section 6 (1) of that Act is the sum of

(

a) the amounts appropriated for the operating expenses for which that minister is responsible in the main estimates for that fiscal year, and

(

b) the amount appropriated under

section 1 of the Supply Act, 2005-2006 (Supplementary Estimates No. 1 ) for the operating expenses for which that minister is responsible in the supplementary estimates referred to in the

preamble to that Act.

Commencement

2 This Act comes into force on the date of Royal Assent.
