OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated December 2, 1999, pursuant to Order in Council 81-1099 dated September 1, 1981, and to

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, and to all other power and authority in him vested, is pleased to amend Order in Council 1999-434 dated September 9, 1999, by repealing paragraph (

c) and substituting the following paragraph: (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate and settle claims or charges made against a Director of Nova Scotia Resources Limited and indemnify them from personal liability, provided however, the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of the Director's activities in relation to the appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and provided that the Province will be in control of a case which it defends, negotiates or settles.
