EXPLANATORY NOTE NOTE EXPLICATIVE This Bill gives the Learning Council responsibility for the academic policy of the University College of the No rth. En vertu du présent projet de loi, le conseil d'apprentissage décide de la politique pédagogique du Collège universitaire du Nord. Additionally, the chancellor becomes a voting membe r of the Governing Council instead of a non-voting membe r. The financial year-end of the university college is also moved from June 30 to March 31. En outre, le chancelier obtient le droit de vote au sein du conseil d'administration et la fin de l'exercice du Collège universitaire passe du 30 juin au 31 mars.

a) by repealing clauses (

e) and (f); and (

a) consider and determine the courses or programs to be offered; (a.1) set criteria concerning (

i) qualifications for admission, (ii) examinations and evaluations of student performance, (iii) requirements for graduation, and (iv) awards recognizing academic excellence; Pouvoirs du conseil d'apprentissage 14(3) Sans préjudice de la portée générale du paragraphe (1), le conseil d'apprentissage peut :

(a.2) evaluate existing courses or programs; (a.3) determine the degrees, honorary degrees, certificates and diplomas to be granted by the university college, and the persons to whom they are to be granted; (a.4) establish faculty councils, school councils an d other bodies within the university college, specify how they are to be constituted, and assign to them the powers and duties that the Learning Council determine; a.2) évaluer les cours ou les programmes existants; a.3) déterminer les grades, les grades honorifiques, les certificats et les diplômes qui seront décernés par le Collège universitaire ainsi que les récipiendaires; a.4) établir des organismes au sein du Collège universitaire, notamment des conseils de faculté ou d'école, préciser la façon dont ils sont constitués et leur conférer des attributions; 6
