OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated May 20, 2015, and pursuant to

Section 3 of the

Chapter 113 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crop and Livestock Insurance Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Dr. Robert Prange, of Wolfville, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term of three years commencing June 16, 2015; (

b) re-appoint John C. Vissers, of MacKay Siding, Colchester County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission for a term of three years commencing June 16, 2015; (

c) order that Dr. Robert Prange be remunerated for his services in the amount of $100 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling his duties as member, provided that any such reimbursement does not exceed that normally payable to members of the civil service; (

d) order that John C. Vissers be remunerated for his services in the amount of $100 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling his duties as member, provided that any such reimbursement does not exceed that normally payable to members of the civil service; (

e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Robert Prange in his capacity as member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case; and (

f) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against John C. Vissers in his capacity as member of the Nova Scotia Crop and Livestock Insurance Commission and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
