B.C. Reg. 184/2003, deposited May 2, 2003, pursuant to the OIL AND GAS COMMISSION ACT [Section 22]. Order in Council 460/2003, approved and ordered May 2, 2003.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Oil and Gas Commission Levy Regulation, B.C. Reg. 363/98, be amended as follows:

Section 1 is amended

(

a) by adding the following

definitions:

"cubic metre" means cubic metre as defined in

section 1 of the

Petroleum and Natural Gas Act ;

"natural gas" means natural gas as defined in

section 1 of the

Petroleum and Natural Gas Act ; , and

(

b) by repealing the

definitions of "administrative expenses" and "fiscal year".

Section 3 is repealed and the following is substituted:

Levy rates

3 For the purposes of

section 22 (5) of the Act, each producer must pay the following levy:

(a) $0.46 per cubic metre of petroleum;

(b) $0.23 per 1 000 cubic metres of marketable gas. — R. NEUFELD, Minister of Energy and Mines; G. CAMPBELL , Presiding Member of the Executive Council.
