EXPLANATORY NOTE NOTE EXPLICATIVE This Bill amends The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club Incorporation Act . The object of the club is amended and the provisions about issuing stock in t he club are repealed. Le présent projet de loi modifie la Loi constituant en corporation « The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club » . Elle modifie les objets du Club et abroge les dispositions concernant l'émission d'actions.

WHEREAS The Lake of the Woods Yacht Club was incorporated by

An Act to incorporate "The Lake of the Woods Y acht Club Incorporation Act" , S.M. 1909, c. 90; AND

WHEREAS the Act was subsequently amended and the name of the corporation changed to "The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club"; AND

WHEREAS the corporation was continued by The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club Incorporation Act , R.S.M. 1990, c. 157; AND

WHEREAS the corporation has presented a petition requesting the following amendments to tha t Act, and it is appropriate to grant the petition; Attendu : que le club dénommé The Lake of the Woods Yacht Club a été constitué en corporation par la loi intitulée

An Act to incorporate "The Lake of the Woods Yacht Club Incorporation Act" , c. 90 des S.M. 1909 ; que cette loi a été modifiée et que le nom de la corporation est devenu « The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club »; que la corporation a été maintenue par la loi intitulée Loi constituant en corporation « The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club » , c. 157 des L.R.M. 1990 ; que la corporation a demandé, par voie de pétition, que les modifications suivantes soient apportées à cette loi et qu'il est jugé opportun d'accéder à ce tte demande,

2 THEREFORE HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, enacts as follows: SA MAJESTÉ, sur l'avis et avec le consentement de l'Assemblée législative du Manitoba, édicte : R.S.M. 1990, c. 157 amended 1 The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club Incorporation Act is amended by this Act.

Modification du c. 157 des L.R.M. 1990 1 La présente loi modifie la Loi constituant en corporation « The Royal Lake of the Woods Yacht Club » . 2 Subsection 1(2) is replaced with the following : 2 Le paragraphe 1(2) est remplacé par ce qui suit : Object 1(2) The object of the club is the encouragement of sailing and other recreational sports as determined by the club. Section 2 is amended (

a) in the

section heading, by striking out " and objects of club "; and (

b) in the section, by striking out " , and if deemed advisable to acquire any of such assets in exchange for paid-up stock of the club at par value ". 3

Section 3 is amended by striking out " , and the unpaid balance of any stock held by him ". 4

Section 7 is amended by striking out everything after " effects of the club ". 6
