OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister in charge of the Administration of the Heritage Property Act dated January 29, 2007, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 199 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Heritage Property Act, is pleased to, effective March 2, 2007: \x09(1)\x09appoint the following persons as members of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property, each for a term of three years: \x09\x09Ken Isles of Mount Uniacke, Hants County, and \x09\x09Peter Newbould of Grand Pr?, Kings County; \x09(2)\x09reappoint the following persons as members of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property, each for a term of three years: \x09\x09Douglas Day of Shelburne, Shelburne County, \x09\x09David Murphy of Kingsburg, Lunenburg County, and \x09\x09Peter Sheehan of Bell Cote/Margaree Harbour, Inverness County; \x09(3) \x09designate Peter Sheehan of Bell Cote/Margaree Harbour as Chair, and designate Brian Cuthbertson of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Vice-chair of the Advisory Council on Heritage Property; \x09(4)\x09determine the remuneration of each of the members appointed to the Advisory Council on Heritage Property to be $75.00 per meeting plus reasonable expenses; and \x09(5)\x09order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against Ken Isles, Peter Newbould, Douglas Day, David Murphy and Peter Sheehan and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
