I, Jessie Sunner, Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills, order that, effective August 1, 2025, the Minister’s Skilled Trades BC Regulation, B.C. Reg. 256/2022, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 6 (3) in the

Schedule to the Minister’s Skilled Trades BC Regulation, B.C. Reg. 256/2022, is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

a) by striking out " work related to " and substituting " installation of and work on ", and

(

b) in paragraph (

b) by striking out " work related to the installation of " and substituting " installation of and work on ".

Section 10 in the

Schedule is amended

(

a) by adding the following subsection:

(0.1) In this section, "private dwelling" means

(

a) a structure that is occupied as a private residence, or

(

b) if only part of a structure is occupied as a private residence, that part of the structure. ,

(

b) in subsection (2) (

c) by adding " installation of and " before " work on ", and

(

c) in subsection (2) by adding the following paragraph:

(

d) installation of and work on heat pumps that

(

i) serve a private dwelling, and

(ii) have a prime mover rating of less than 5 kW.
