An Act to amend The Alberta Hail Insurance Act (Assented to , 1968) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Alberta Hail Insurance Act is amended by striking out

section and by substituting the following: 4.

(1) The Board shall administer this Act and shall pro vide the means whereby insurance may be made available (

a) for insuring crops against damage by hail, and (

b) for insuring crops against damage by fire during the time they are insured by the Board against dam by hail.

(2) Where the Board makes fire insurance available as authorized by subsection (1), references in this Act to hail insurance and to hail damage shall, in so far as the circum stances may require, be read as also referring to hail and fire insurance and to fire damage. 2. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill amends

chapter of the Revised Statutes.
