OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated February 16, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 84 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , and subsection 10(1) of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , and subsection 18(1) of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act , is pleased, effective February 21, 2023, to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Valerie Pottie Bunge as Associate Deputy Minister of Service Nova Scotia and Internal Services; (

b) revoke the appointment of Mark Peck as Associate Deputy Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing; (

c) appoint Valerie Pottie Bunge as Associate Deputy Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing; (

d) appoint Cathy MacIsaac as Associate Deputy Minister of Community Services; (

e) fix and determine the salary of Cathy MacIsaac to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan as it applies to Associate Deputy Ministers; (

f) designate Cathy MacIsaac as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act ; and (

g) direct that Cathy MacIsaac shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head, including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier.
