OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated July 8, 2009, and pursuant to Sections 4B and 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in her vested, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Rick Williams of Halifax, Nova Scotia, as Chief Executive Officer of the Office of Policy and Priorities, who may be referred to as Deputy Minister of Policy and Priorities; (

b) designate Rick Williams as deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (

c) fix and determine the salary of Rick Williams to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister to the Office of the Premier in accordance with the Senior Officials Pay Plan; and (

d) direct that Rick Williams shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan.
