OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables dated April 11, 2024, and pursuant to clause 21(1)(

b) of

Chapter 114 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Crown Lands Act, is pleased to approve the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables: (

a) executing a release of the condition in Crown Grant 23438 dated the 17th day of January, 1984 (approved by Order in Council 83-373 dated April 5, 1983) which states: “The lands herein granted are further subject to the condition that the said land be developed only for residential purposes within five (5) years of the date of this grant (which time may be extended by the Minister of Lands and Forests for a further five (5) years) and that should the said land or any portion thereof not be developed or be developed for any other purpose, it shall revert to Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of Nova Scotia at a cost of $1.00”; and (

b) executing such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purposes of this Order.
