Statute: Workers' Compensation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Labour and Advanced Education dated August 13, 2012, and pursuant to Sections 151, 152 and 153 of

Chapter 10 of the Acts of 1994-95, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) re-appoint Phillip Veinotte, of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax), as an employer representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board for a term of 4 years commencing December 1, 2012; (

b) appoint Dean Tupper, of Centreville, Kings County, as a worker representative member of the Board of Directors of the Workers' Compensation Board for a term of 4 years commencing October 6, 2012; (

c) order that Phillip Veinotte and Dean Tupper be remunerated for their service in the amount of $300 per day and be reimbursed for reasonable expenses actually incurred in fulfilling their duties as members, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally paid to members of the civil service; and (

d) order that Phillip Veinotte and Dean Tupper receive annual honoraria of $2000 for chairing board committees.
