B.C. Reg. 63/2011 , deposited March 31, 2011, pursuant to the HEALTH PROFESSIONS ACT [Section 12]. Ministerial Order M82/2011, dated March 31, 2011.

I, Michael de Jong, Minister of Health, order that

section 2 of Ministerial Order 103/2010 is repealed and the following substituted:

2 Effective April 1, 2012, the Speech and Hearing Health Professionals Regulation, B.C. Reg. 413/2008, is amended by repealing

section 6 (3) and substituting the following:

(3) A hearing instrument practitioner who is not also an audiologist may, in respect of an individual who has not attained the age of 16 years, provide a service that includes the performance of a restricted activity set out in

section 5 (2) (b), (c) (

e) or (

f) only if the hearing instrument practitioner has successfully completed a certification program established, required or approved under the bylaws to ensure hearing instrument practitioners are qualified and competent to provide the service and perform the restricted activity.
