OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated October 14, 2010, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act, is pleased, effective October 21, 2010, to: (

a) direct that all affairs and matters for administrative purposes relating to volunteerism and the non-profit voluntary sector be attached to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development; (

b) direct that any amount appropriated by the Legislature with respect to volunteerism and the non-profit voluntary sector be assigned to the Department of Labour and Workforce Development; and (

c) amend Order in Council 2009-303 dated June 19, 2009, to change the description of the Minister in the last line of the text of the Order, by deleting "Volunteerism" and replacing it with "the Voluntary Sector".
