AN ACT TO AMEND THE PROVINCIAL GENERAL HOSPITALS ACT (Assented to , 1976) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1.. The Provincial General Hospitals Act is hereby amended. 2.

Section is amended by adding after subsection (1.2) the following subsection: "

(1.3) With effect from January 1, 1977, the Minister shall appoint to each board, in addition to those appointed pursuant to subsection (1) two members of the Legislative Assembly of which one shall be the member for the electoral district in which the hospital is situated." 3. The Legislative Assembly Act is hereby amended.

Section 10 (Subsection 4) is amended: (

a) By adding after clause (

f) the words"; or" and (

b) By adding after clause (

f) the following clause: " (

g) a person holding office as a member of the board of a Provincial General Hospital." 5. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. Amends
