B.C. Reg. 153/2014 , deposited July 28, 2014, under the MOTOR VEHICLE ACT [section 210 (2) (b)]. Order in Council 483/2014, approved and ordered July 25, 2014.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective November 17, 2014, the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

Section 24.03 (4) of the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, is amended by adding “ for a purpose set out in subsection (1) ” before “ must ”.

Section 24.05 is amended

(

a) in subsections (1), (2), in both places, and (3) by striking out “ snow vehicle or air cushion vehicle ” and substituting “ snow vehicle, air cushion vehicle or all terrain vehicle ” ,

(

b) in subsection (2.1) by striking out “ snowmobile or snow vehicle ” and substituting “ snowmobile, snow vehicle or all terrain vehicle ”, and

(

c) by adding the following subsections:

(4) Subsections (2) and (3) do not apply in respect of a snowmobile, snow vehicle, air cushion vehicle or all terrain vehicle if the snowmobile, snow vehicle, air cushion vehicle or all terrain vehicle is used or operated only in a parking lot for the purpose of unloading or loading the snowmobile, snow vehicle, air cushion vehicle or all terrain vehicle from or to another motor vehicle or trailer.

(5) This

section does not apply to the use or operation of an all terrain vehicle on a highway for a purpose set out in

section 24.03 (1).

Section 24.09 (8) (

b) is amended by striking out “ one year ” and substituting “ 2 years ”.
