OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health and Wellness dated November 16, 2021, and pursuant to subsection 16(1) of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act , and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , and in accordance with the Department of Health and Wellness Capital Grants Program, is pleased, effective December 14, 2021, to: (

a) approve the Minister of Health and Wellness to grant funds in the total amount not to exceed $5,100,000 to the Nova Scotia Health Authority in order to procure and install a replacement MRI unit at the Halifax Infirmary; and (

b) authorize the Nova Scotia Health Authority to enter into a net debt obligation for purposes of the above acquisition.
