OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Heritage dated September 28, 2005, and pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 24 of the Acts of 1998, the Public Archives Act, is pleased effective October 27, 2005, to: (

a) reappoint Peter M. Crowell of Tusket, Yarmouth County, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives, being a representative from the Council of Nova Scotia Archives, for a term of three years; (

b) appoint Michael George Moosberger of Stillwater Lake, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives, being a representative from the Association of Records Managers and Administrators, for a term of three years; (

c) appoint Roy Scott Taylor of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives, being a representative from the Genealogical Association of Nova Scotia, for a term of three years; and (

d) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Peter M. Crowell, Michael George Moosberger and Roy Scott Taylor of the Board of Trustees of the Public Archives and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
