B.C. Reg. 33/2012 , deposited March 8, 2012, pursuant to the ENERGY EFFICIENCY ACT [section 6]. Order in Council 125/2012, approved and ordered March 8, 2012.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Energy Efficiency Standards Regulation, B.C. Reg. 389/93, is amended

(

a) as set out in sections 1 and 2 of the attached Appendix, and

(

b) effective April 12, 2012, as set out in

section 3 of the attached Appendix.

Appendix

Section 5 (6) of the Energy Efficiency Standards Regulation, B.C. Reg. 389/93, is amended by striking out " items 6 and 21 " and substituting " item 6, 8, 21, 45, 46 or 47 ".

Schedule 1 is amended

(

a) in

section 1

(

i) by adding the following definition:

"household" means manufactured or sold primarily for use in a domestic establishment; , and

(ii) in paragraph (

a) of the definition of "television" by adding " household " before " television monitor " and by striking out " television without " and substituting " device without ",

(

b) by repealing Column 2 of items 37 (1) and 43 (1) and substituting the following:

Any of the following:

(

a) CSA A440.2-04, Energy Performance of Windows and Other Fenestration Systems;

(

b) CAN/CSA A440.2-09, Fenestration Energy Performance;

(

c) NFRC 100- (2004 or 2010) Procedure for Determining Fenestration Product U-Factors. ,

(

c) in Column 4 of subsections (1) (

a) and (3) of item 44 by striking out " Dec. 31, 2012 " and substituting " Dec. 1, 2014 ",

(

d) in Column 2 of items 45, 46 and 47 by adding " , tested at 115 volts, regardless of the nominal voltage of the energy device " after " Measurement of Standby Power ", and

(

e) in Column 2 of item 45 by striking out " Energy performance of televisions and displays " and substituting " Energy Performance of Televisions and Displays, tested at 115 volts, regardless of the nominal voltage of the energy device" .

Schedule 1 is amended in

section 1 by repealing the

definitions of "compact audio product" , "household" , "television" and "video product" and substituting the following:

"compact audio product" , "television" and "video product" have the same meaning as in the Energy Efficiency Regulations (Canada), SOR/94-651; .
