OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Human Rights Act dated April 24, 2019, and pursuant to
Section 22 of
Chapter 214 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Human Rights Act , is pleased to: (
a) designate Cheryl Knockwood of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Membertou), as Chair of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for the remainder of her term and commencing June 26, 2019; (
b) determine the remuneration of Cheryl Knockwood be $6,000.00 per year as Chair of the Commission for her term of office, which shall be in addition to the remuneration determined through Order in Council 2019-26, dated February 1, 2019, of one hundred dollars ($100) for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission.
