AN ACT TO AMEND THE ELECTION ACT (Assented to , 1975) HER rv.T.AJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. Thp, Elp,r-tion A r-t i.q hp,rehy (I,mended.

Section 15, subsection (1), clause (e), subclause (ii) is amended by striking out the 'Words "the abbreviation "l'.frs." as prefix, and" and by substituting the words "the abbreviation "l\frs." or "Ms." as ~refix, and". 3. Rule in the Third

Schedule is amended (

a) by striking out paragraph (1) and by substituting the following:

(1) The enumerators shall, in such list, register the name of a married woman or widow under her own Christian name' and the surname of her hus band or deceased husband, as the case may be, using the abbreviation "Mrs." or "Ms." as prefix. (

b) by striking out paragraph (3) and by substituting the following:

(3) The name of an unmarried woman shall be prefixed with the words "Miss" or "Ms.". 4. This Act com,es intn jorcp, on thp, day upon which it is assented to.
