OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice and Attorney General dated March 27, 2012, and pursuant to

Section 72 of

Chapter 28 of the Acts of 2004, the Legal Profession Act, is pleased effective May 1, 2012 to: (

a) appoint Anna L. Paton of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of the Law Foundation of Nova Scotia for a term of two years; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Anna L. Paton and indemnify her from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
