OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Human Rights Act dated December 18, 2018, and pursuant to

Section 22 of

Chapter 214 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Human Rights Act , is pleased, effective February 1, 2019, to: (

a) re-appoint Cheryl Knockwood of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Membertou) as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term; (

b) appoint Denise Mentis-Smith, Q.C. of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term; (

c) appoint Raymond Tynes of Truro, Colchester County as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a three (3) year term; (

d) determine the remuneration of Cheryl Knockwood, Denise Mentis-Smith, and Raymond Tynes at the rate of $100.00 for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission during their terms of office.
