OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated January 24, 1999, pursuant to Sections 672.38 and 672.39 of

Chapter C-46 of the Revised Statutes of Canada, 1985, the Criminal Code, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Dr. Richard Howard of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board for a term of office of three years commencing December 23, 1998; (

b) reappoint Dr. Harry Poulos of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board for a term of office of three years commencing May 4, 1999; (

c) reappoint Dr. Michael Teehan of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Nova Scotia Review Board for a term of office of three years commencing May 4, 1999; (

d) determine the remuneration of Dr. Richard Howard, Dr. Harry Poulos and Dr. Michael Teehan to be at the rate of $75.00 per hour each; and (

e) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Richard Howard, Dr. Harry Poulos and Dr. Michael Teehan and indemnify them from personal liability provided the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointments and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
