B.C. Reg. 179/2022 , deposited August 11, 2022, under the SAFETY STANDARDS ACT [sections 8 and 88]. Ministerial Order M241/2022, dated August 11, 2022.
I, Murray Rankin, Q.C., Attorney General and Minister Responsible for Housing,
order that, effective October 1, 2022, the Electrical Safety Regulation, B.C. Reg. 100/2004,
is amended as set out in the attached Appendix.

Appendix
Section 7 (4) of the Electrical Safety Regulation, B.C. Reg. 100/2004, is amended
by striking out " 750 volts " and substituting " 1 000 volts ".
Section 8 (1) is amended
(
a) by striking out " and " at the end of paragraph (b),
(
b) by adding " and " at the end of paragraph (c), and
(
c) by adding the following paragraph:
(
d) have work experience acceptable to a provincial safety manager.
Section 9 (1) (
b) is amended by striking out " Applied Science Technologists and Technicians Act " and substituting " Professional Governance Act ".
Section 20 is repealed and the following substituted:
Canadian Electrical Code adopted as B.C. Electrical Code
20 The Canadian Electrical Code,
Part I, Twenty-fifth Edition, Safety Standard for Electrical
Installations, Canadian Standards Association Standard C22.1:21, amended as set out
in the
Schedule to this regulation and including any errata, is adopted by reference
as the B.C. Electrical Code.
Section 1 of the
Schedule is amended by striking out "the Canadian Electrical
Code,
Part I, Twenty-fourth Edition, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations,
Canadian Standards Association Standard C22.1-18" and substituting "the Canadian Electrical
Code,
Part I, Twenty-fifth Edition, Safety Standard for Electrical Installations,
Canadian Standards Association Standard C22.1:21".
