OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated October 27, 2004, pursuant to

Section 42 of

Chapter 1 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994, the Environment Act, and

Section 5 of N.S. Reg. 27/95, the Environmental Assessment Board Regulations, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Anthony C. Blouin of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member and designate him as Chair of the Environmental Assessment Board for a term of three years commencing November 18, 2004; (

b) appoint Dr. Ray Cranston of Waverley, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Environmental Assessment Board for a term of three years commencing November 18, 2004; (

c) appoint Bonnie L. Rankin of Lower Sackville, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Environmental Assessment Board for a term of three years commencing November 18, 2004; (

d) appoint Dale Smith of Truro, Colchester County, as a member of the Environmental Assessment Board for a term of three years commencing November 18, 2004; (

e) appoint Penny J. Henneberry of Cambridge, Kings County, as a member of the Environmental Assessment Board for a term of three years commencing November 18, 2004; (

f) fix the remuneration for the Chair of the Environmental Assessment Board at $400/day for each day the Chair attends to business of the Board, in addition to necessary and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by the Chair in the discharge of his/her duties; (

g) fix the remuneration for the members of the Environmental Assessment Board at $150/day for each day a member attends to business of the Board, in addition to necessary and reasonable expenses as may be incurred by a member in the discharge of his/her duties; (

h) revoke Order in Council 1998-384 dated August 5, 1998; and (

i) revoke Order in Council 95-502 dated June 27, 1995.
