Statute: Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act dated June 6, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 3 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Advisory Council on the Status of Women Act , is pleased to: (

a) revoke those portions of clauses (

c) and (

d) of Order in Council 2011-362 dated October 4, 2011, that fix the remuneration and expenses payable to the Chair and members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women; and (

b) fix the remuneration of the President and members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women in the following aggregate amounts: (

i) for the President, $250 per day for each day they attend as President of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women at meetings of the Council; (ii) for members, $200 per day for each day they attend as members of the Advisory Council on the Status of Women at meetings of the Council; and (iii) for the President and members, such reasonable expenses as may be incurred in the performance of their duties provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service.
