Moore BILL THE IMPROVEMENT DISTRICTS AMENDMENT ACT, 1974 (Assented to , 1974) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alber1ta, enacts as follows: 1. The Improvement Districts ,Act is hereb·y amended. 2.

Section is amended by striking out subsection (1) and by substituting the following subsection: 18.

(1) The Minister may by order prov,ide for the doing, in an improvement district or any part thereof, of anything a council may by by-law or resolution enact to be done under The Municipal Government Act. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill will amend ,chapter of .. the Revised Statutes of Alberta 19,7.0.- - 2. The Minister is empowered to do anything in an improvement dist,rict that the council of a municipality may do by by-law or resolution. The~ present subsection limits the Minister to hamlets and reads as follows~ 18.

(1) The! Minis;ter may by order provide for the doing, in a hamlet situated within an .improvement· district, of anything that a v.illage .councH may by by-law or resolution enact ,to be done under The Municipal Gdvernment Act.
