AN ACT T'O AMEND THE TEACHERS' RETIREMENT 'FUND ACT (Assented to , 1974) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Teachers' Retirement Fund Act is hereby amended. 2.

Section is amended by renumbering the

section as subsection (1) and by adding the following subsecUon:

(2) Where any by-law made under subsection (1) before or after the coming into force of this subsection provides for rates of pensions for female retired teachers that are lower than the rates of pensions for male retired teachers, the by-law shall be deemed to be amended so that the rates of pensions for the female retired teachers are equal to the rates of pensions for retired male teachers. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes
