OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated July 27, 2013, and pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , is pleased to, effective September 23, 2013: (

a) direct that all affairs and matters pertaining to early childhood development services (including day care and early intervention), which have heretofore been assigned by or under any Act of the Legislature to the Department of Community Services or the Minister of Community Services are assigned to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development or the Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development, as the case may be; and (

b) confirm and ratify the authority of the Nova Scotia Housing Development Corporation to provide financial assistance to a person holding a valid licence to operate a facility providing day care pursuant to

Chapter 213 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Housing Development Corporation Act and regulations thereunder.
