The name of the Board of Parole would be chan ged to the Ontario Parole and Earned Release Board. In cir- cumstances prescribed by regulation, the Board would be authorized to determine whether an inmate has earned remission of his or her sentence under the rele- vant federal or provincial legislation. 1.
