OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated May 26, 2011, and pursuant to

Section 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act,

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act,

Section 2 of

Chapter 377 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Superannuation Act,

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act, and all authority in him vested, is pleased to, effective July 18, 2011: (

a) revoke the appointment of Dave Ryan as Acting Deputy Minister of Community Services; (

b) appoint Robert Wood as Deputy Minister of Community Services; (

c) designate Robert Wood as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act; (

d) fix and determine the salary of Robert Wood to be at such rate as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; (

e) direct that Robert Wood shall receive all customary benefits associated with the position of deputy head including participation in the Province of Nova Scotia Long Term Disability Plan and such other benefits as may be determined by the Deputy Minister of the Office of the Premier; and (

f) designate Robert Wood to be and to have been an employee for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act.
