Statute: Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage dated February 14, 2014, and pursuant to

section 5 of

Chapter 22 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia Act , is pleased to: (

a) appoint Sally Warren of Mahone Bay, Lunenburg County, as a member of the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia for a one year term commencing March 31, 2014; and (

b) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Sally Warren in her capacity as member of the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia and indemnify her from personal liability in connection with any such claims, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
