OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated December 3, 1998, pursuant to
Section 33 of
Chapter 5 of the Acts of 1993, the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, is pleased to, effective January 24, 1999: (
a) redesignate Darce Fardy of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a review officer for the purpose of conducting reviews pursuant to
Section 32 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, for a term of one year; (
b) determine the remuneration of Darce Fardy to be $150.00 per day; and (
c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Darce Fardy and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
