OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated March 5, 2002, and pursuant to
Section 4 and subsection 5(1) of
Chapter 140 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Elections Act,
Section 17 of
Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the
Interpretation Act, and clause 8(
c) of
Part II of
Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Janet D.W. Willwerth of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality, as Chief Electoral Officer pursuant to the Elections Act, commencing April 1, 2002; (
b) appoint Janet D.W. Willwerth to be a designated person for the purposes of
Part II of the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act; (
c) fix the remuneration of Janet D. W. Willwerth, in accordance with the salary range equivalent to the Civil Service Management Compensation Pay Plan (MCP 30) in the range of $64 957.36 to $84 444.62, subject to all applicable enactments; and (
d) order that Civil Service benefits be extended to Janet D. W. Willwerth as the Chief Electoral Officer on the same terms and conditions as they are extended to members of the Civil Service.
