B.C. Reg. 293/2012 , deposited October 5, 2012, pursuant to the WILDLIFE ACT [sections 16, 108 and 109]. Ministerial Order M214/2012, dated October 3, 2012.

I, Steve Thomson, Minister of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations, order that

(

a) the Hunting Regulation, B.C. Reg. 190/84, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 1,

(

b) the Limited Entry Hunting Regulation, B.C. Reg. 134/93, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 2,

(

c) the Motor Vehicle Prohibition Regulation, B.C. Reg. 196/99, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 3, and

(

d) the Wildlife Act Commercial Activities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 338/82, is amended as set out in the attached Appendix 4.

Appendix 1

Section 17 of

Part 2 of

Schedule 4 of the Hunting Regulation, B.C. Reg. 190/84, is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out " November 15, " and substituting " November 10 and in M.U.s 4-3, 4-4, 4-5, 4-20 and 4-26 during the open season from October 1 to October 31, ", and

(

b) in subsection (2) by striking out " the open season " and substituting " an open season ".

Section 11 (4) of

Part 2 of

Schedule 6 is amended by striking out " For subsections (1) and (3), " and substituting " For the purposes of subsections (1), (3), (9) and (10), ".

Part 2 of

Schedule 7 is amended by adding the following section:

Waterfowler Heritage Days

(1) The open season for ducks, snow geese, Ross's geese, white-fronted geese, Canada geese and cackling geese in M.U.s 7-2 to 7-18, 7-23 to 7-30 and 7-37 to 7-41 is the first two-day weekend in September.

(2) The open season for ducks, snow geese, Ross's geese, white-fronted geese, Canada geese and cackling geese in M.U.s 7-19 to 7-22, 7-31, 7-32, 7-33 other than that portion of M.U. 7-33 contained within 100 m (109 yards) of either side of the Peace River downstream from the Highway 97 bridge near Taylor to the Province of Alberta border, 7-34 to 7-36 and 7-42 to 7-58 is September 1 and 2.

(3) The open seasons set out in subsections (1) and (2) are restricted to persons under 18 years of age.

Appendix 2

Section 3 (2) of the Limited Entry Hunting Regulation, B.C. Reg. 134/93, is amended by striking out " items 1 and 2 " and substituting " item 1 ".

Section 4 (3.2) is amended by repealing paragraphs (

a) to (

f) and substituting the following:

(

a) item 2 (Spatsizi M.U. 6-20 Zone A, Aug 1-Oct 15);

(

b) item 3 (Mount Edziza M.U. 6-21 Zone A, Aug 1-Oct 15);

(

c) item 4 (Atlin M.U. 6-25 Zone D, Aug 1-Oct 15);

(

d) item 5 (Atlin M.U. 6-27 Zone A, Aug 1-Oct 15);

(

e) item 6 (Tatshenshini M.U. 6-28, Aug 1-Oct 15);

(

f) item 7 (Tatshenshini M.U. 6-29, Aug 1-Oct 15).

Section 4.1 is amended

(

a) in subsection (1) by striking out " or the elk limited entry hunting authorization set out in item 2 of

Schedule I ",

(

b) by repealing subsection (2.1), and

(

c) in subsection (3) by striking out " items 1 and 2 " and substituting " item 1 ".

Appendix 3

Section 8 (4) (

a) of the Motor Vehicle Prohibition Regulation, B.C. Reg. 196/99, is amended by striking out " and 75 " and substituting " , 75 and 86 ".

2 Item 83 of

Schedule 1 is repealed and the following substituted:

Crater Mountain

83 Effective year round in that portion of M.U. 8-03 outlined in red on the attached Map No. 1-77A/12 (except for roads indicated in green and designated as open year round on that map).

Schedule 1 is amended in item 86 by striking out " the attached Map No. 1-79/12 " and substituting " the attached Map No. 1-79A/12 ".

Schedule 2 is amended in item 12 by repealing paragraphs (a), (

b) and (f).

Schedule 2 is amended in item 41 by striking out " the attached Map No. 2-41/12 " and substituting " the attached Map No. 2-41A/12, excluding the Grizzly Plateau/Gas Stop Access Trail indicated in red and designated as open year round on that map. ".

Appendix 4

Section 3.08 of the Wildlife Act Commercial Activities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 338/82, is amended in

Schedule 3.08 by adding the following in respect of Region 7:

Lynx

Open season in M.U.s 7-12 to 7-18, 7-23 to 7-30 and 7-37 to 7-40 is November 1 to February 15
