OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Police Review Board dated November 27, 2009, and pursuant to Sections 13 and 15 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) re-appoint R. Lester Jesudason of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, as a member and designate him as Chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three years commencing on December 18, 2009; (

b) fix remuneration for the Chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board to be $200 per meeting; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against R. Lester Jesudason and indemnify him from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
