OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Health dated February 4, 2000, pursuant to
Section 7 of
Chapter 313 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Nova Scotia Hospital Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Dr. Harvey Silverstein of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Board of Management of the Nova Scotia Hospital for a one year term of office commencing February 1, 2000, and ending January 31, 2001; and (
b) determine that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Dr. Harvey Silverstein and indemnify him from personal liability provided, however, that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of his activities in relation to the appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and provided that the Province will be in control of a case which it defends.
