OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance, dated September 8, 1999, pursuant to Order in Council 81-1099, dated September 1, 1981, and to

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, and to all other power and authority in him vested, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointments of the following persons as Directors of Nova Scotia Resources Limited: Wes Abel of Calgary, in the Province of Alberta; Robert McLennan of Calgary, in the Province of Alberta; David Powell of Calgary, in the Province of Alberts; and J. David Thompson, Q.C., of the Halifax Regional Municipality; (

b) approve the nomination and appointment of the following persons as Directors of Nova Scotia Resources Limited: Edgar Cramm of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; Jo-Anne Nozick of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and Peter Wedlake of Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and (

c) order that Nova Scotia Resources Limited shall defend, negotiate and settle claims or charges made against a Director of Nova Scotia Resources Limited and indemnify them from personal liability, provided however, the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of the Director's activities in relation to the appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and provided that the Province will be in control of a case which it defends, negotiates or settles.
