B.C. Reg. 255/2021 , deposited October 4, 2021, under the LAND OWNER TRANSPARENCY ACT [section 97 (2)]. Order in Council 551/2021, approved and ordered October 4, 2021.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Land Owner Transparency Regulation, B.C. Reg. 250/2020, is amended by adding the following sections to

Part 4:

Prescribed regulator

21.3 For the purpose of paragraph (

e) of the definition of "regulator" in

section 28 of the Act, the Society of Notaries Public of British Columbia is prescribed.

Inspections and searches by Director of Civil Forfeiture

21.4

(1) In this section, "director" has the same meaning as in the Civil Forfeiture Act .

(2) For the purposes of

section 31 (3) [inspections and searches by enforcement officer and ministry officials] of the Act, the director may inspect transparency records and search reported information for the purposes of the administration and enforcement of the Civil Forfeiture Act .
