CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Meewasin Valley Authority Act (Assented to June 25, 1996) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Meewasin Valley Authority Amendment Act, 1996. S.S. 1979, c.M-11.1,

section 62.1 amended The following clause is added after clause 62.1(2)(

d) of The Meewasin Valley Authority Act: A(

e) in the fiscal year commencing on April 1, 1996 and ending on March 31, 1997 is equal to the total of the following amounts to be paid by the participating parties: (

i) with respect to the government, an amount equal to the amount paid by it to the authority pursuant to this Act in the fiscal year commencing on April 1, 1995 and ending on March 31, 1996; (ii) with respect to the city, an amount equal to the amount paid by it to the authority pursuant to this Act in the fiscal year commencing on April 1, 1995 and ending on March 31, 1996; and (iii) with respect to the university, an amount equal to the amount paid by it to the authority pursuant to this Act in the fiscal year commencing on April 1, 1995 and ending on March 31, 1996@.

Coming into force This Act comes into force on assent, but is retroactive and is deemed to have been in force on and from April 1, 1996.
