OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the President of the Executive Council dated October 19, 2016, and pursuant to Sections 4 and 7 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , is pleased to, effective October 20, 2016: (

a) assign all affairs and matters relating to developing and promoting the Gaelic language and culture in the Province to the Minister of Gaelic Affairs, which, for clarity, shall include policy, budgetary, and legislative matters; and (

b) confirm that all affairs and matters relating to developing and promoting the Gaelic language and culture in the Province for administrative purposes are attached to the Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage within a division known as the Office of Gaelic Affairs, and are prescribed in the duties of the Deputy Minister of Communities, Culture and Heritage.
